Is It Really Impossible?

I began this newsletter one year ago as a challenge to see if I could commit to a regular monthly post while trying to grow my small consulting business. The newsletter goal was accomplished! The audience grew to over 1100 subscribers. My LinkedIn Learning course, ‘Managing a Diverse Team’, has surpassed 140,000 learners and is available in 10 languages!
You may think that’s a small feat, but growth comes at a slow steady pace. The business continues to grow at a slow, steady pace too.
Here are some highlights and reflections since the April 2022 newsletter, just in case you want to read previously published posts.
April: Management should model an acceptance of diversity and inclusion: DEIA has penetrated our societal and cultural norms particularly affecting how well we get along with others in the workplace. As much as some leaders and managers may say that their company has policies and procedures in place to combat any sort of discrimination or negative cultural behavior in the workplace, I would ask, ‘“how can you factually back this with evidence or facts to support your assertions?’”
